Why these brands

We don't carry every electric scooter brand.
We carry the ones we'd ride ourselves.

Every brand on this page earned its place. It has to hold a charge, survive a winter of bad pavement, and carry a UL 2849 certified battery — the safety standard New York City made law in 2024, and the one worth insisting on wherever you live. Anything that couldn't clear that bar never made the list.

We're an authorized dealer for every brand here, which is the part that matters after the sale: your warranty is real, support comes through the proper channel, and you're covered if something goes wrong. We discount every brand here, stack codes at checkout, offer 0% APR financing on every order, and ship free to all 48 continental states. We're an online store — the NYC in our name is where we come from, not who we sell to.

Not just electric scooters

We sell electric bikes too.

A big part of what we sell is full-size electric bikes rather than electric scooters — folding commuters, fat-tire cruisers, cargo builds and motocross-ready dirt bikes, from $629 up to $6,899. Many of the electric bike brands here also build electric scooters, and some build nothing but electric bikes.

Straight answers

Questions we get every day.

What electric scooter and e-bike brands do you carry?

More than 30, and the full list is on this page: AOTOS, ASAP, AUSOM, Bugatti, Drivetron, E-TWOW, GSPACE, Gyroor, Hiboy, IENYRID, INMOTION, JOYOR, Kaabo, KUGOO, Mini Walker, Molo, NAMI Burn, Nanrobot, NAVEE, Phantom, Punk Rider, Riding'times, Segway, TALARIA, TEEWING, Teverun, Voro, WEPED and YUME. That's 250+ models in total, from a $309 first electric scooter up to a $20,200 flagship.

Do you only sell in New York?

No. Speedway Riders NYC is an online store that ships to all 48 continental states, free of charge, on every order with no minimum. New York is where the name comes from, not a limit on who we sell to — most of our orders leave the warehouse network headed somewhere else entirely.

Are you an authorized electric scooter dealer?

Yes. We're an authorized dealer for every brand listed on this page, which is the part that matters after the sale: your warranty is valid, parts and support come through the proper channel, and you're covered if something goes wrong. Grey-market sellers can't offer any of that, whatever the price says.

Do you sell electric bikes as well as electric scooters?

Yes, and they are a big part of what we sell. That covers folding commuters like the Hiboy C1 at $629, fat-tire and step-through cruisers, the Segway Xafari and XYBER, cargo builds from Riding'times, and motocross-ready dirt bikes from TALARIA, Voro and NAVEE running up to $6,899. Molo builds nothing but e-bikes, and many of the other brands here build both.

Do you offer discounts on these brands?

Yes. Every brand here is discounted below list, and the discounts stack — seasonal promotions, our SWR100 to SWR400 codes for up to $400 more off, and an extra student discount with a valid college email. Codes are applied at checkout and the current offers are always shown there, so you never have to hunt for the best available price.

Can I finance an electric scooter or e-bike?

Yes, on every order. We offer 0% APR financing through Affirm and PayPal Pay Later, with plans from 3 to 36 months. You get a real-time decision at checkout on a soft credit check, so applying doesn't affect your credit score, and there are no deferred-interest traps — you never pay more than the amount you agreed to upfront.

How much is shipping, and how fast is it?

Shipping is free on every order to the 48 continental states — no minimum spend and no code needed. Orders ship through FedEx and UPS from our warehouse network, with same-day dispatch available, and you get tracking as soon as your order leaves.

Which are the best electric scooter brands for commuting?

Start with Segway, NAVEE or Hiboy. A good commuter needs three things: a fold small enough for a train or a car trunk, pneumatic tires 10 inches or larger so potholes stay boring, and at least 25 miles of range. All three clear that bar out of the box, and all three start under $500.

Which brand should I buy if I've never ridden before?

Hiboy, KUGOO or JOYOR. All three build forgiving, stable electric scooters in the $300–$600 range — enough electric scooter to learn on and keep riding, not so much that an early mistake gets expensive. When a first-time rider asks us for one name, we usually say Hiboy.

What is the fastest electric scooter you sell?

The WEPED SONIC Dual, one of the only production electric scooters in the world capable of 100 MPH. Below it: Kaabo's Wolf King GTR at 65 MPH, YUME's Predator at 63, and Teverun's Blade GT II at 53. Anything above roughly 20 MPH is intended for private land or for states that allow it — see the note at the bottom of this page.

Which electric scooter has the longest range?

Teverun's Fighter Eleven Supreme covers 125 miles on a single charge, the furthest of anything we stock. WEPED and YUME flagships reach around 100 miles. For everyday use you don't need anything near that — Segway MAX-series and E-TWOW models cover 25 to 40 miles, which is a full week of typical commuting.

Which brands are best for off-road riding?

Kaabo leads on electric scooters — the Wolf King and Wolf Warrior are what everything else gets compared to. IENYRID covers the budget end with knobby-tire models under $500. If you want a full electric dirt bike instead, TALARIA and Voro build proper motocross-geometry electric bikes with the suspension to match.

Are electric scooters street legal?

In most places, within limits — but the rules are set state by state and city by city, so check yours before you buy. New York City allows stand-up electric scooters under 20 MPH and 100 lb, and since October 2024 every e-scooter and e-bike battery sold there must carry UL 2849 certification. Every brand on this page meets that standard, and we don't ship products into places where they're prohibited.

Do these come with a warranty?

Yes — a 1-year warranty on every brand on this page, backed by the manufacturer because we're an authorized dealer, plus 14-day returns if you change your mind. Batteries across the whole range are UL 2849 certified, which is the safety standard New York City made mandatory in 2024 and the one worth insisting on anywhere.
