What happens to your information
The full policy below is what counts. This is the summary.
What you give us to buy and get help: your name, contact and delivery details, your order and what you tell us. Plus basic device and usage information when you browse.
To take and deliver your order, handle returns and warranty claims, answer your questions, keep the site secure and understand how it is used.
Only the services that make that possible: payment and financing providers, carriers, hosting and email, and analytics. We do not sell your personal information for money.
Card numbers go straight to the payment processor at checkout. We never see or store your full card number.
Ask to see, correct or delete what we hold, switch analytics off, opt out of sale or sharing, or unsubscribe from marketing at any time, from Your privacy choices.
The site is for adults. It is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Who we are and what this covers
Speedway Riders NYC (“Speedway Riders”, “we”, “us”) is an online retailer of electric scooters, electric bikes, parts and accessories, based at 279 Frost St, Brooklyn, NY 11222. We sell online only and deliver within the 48 contiguous United States.
This policy covers the personal information we collect through speedwayridersnyc.com (the “Site”), when you order from us, and when you contact us by email, phone, text or one of the forms on the Site. It does not cover the websites of the manufacturers, carriers, payment or financing providers we link to; they have their own policies.

Apart from your account login, we do not collect what state privacy laws call sensitive personal information, such as Social Security numbers, health information or precise location, and we do not use any information to infer characteristics about you.
How we use it
- Your order: to take payment, arrange delivery, send order and shipping emails, and handle cancellations, returns, exchanges and refunds.
- Help and claims: to answer your questions and to help you raise a warranty claim with the manufacturer and follow it up.
- Your account: to let you sign in, see your orders and save your details.
- Security: to keep the Site working and safe, and to prevent spam, fraud and misuse.
- Improving the Site: to understand, in aggregate, how people find and use it, through the analytics described in the Cookie Policy.
- Marketing: to send news and offers by email, only if you have signed up. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
- The law: to keep the records that tax and accounting rules require, and to respond to lawful requests.
We do not make decisions about you by automated means that have legal or similarly significant effects. Financing decisions are made by the financing provider, not by us.
Selling and sharing
We do not sell your personal information for money.
Some state laws treat the use of analytics and advertising cookies as “selling” or “sharing” personal information, even when no money changes hands. You can opt out of that on Your privacy choices: switch Google Analytics off there, or use a browser that sends a Global Privacy Control signal, which we treat as a request to opt out for that browser. You can also send us an opt-out request from the same page.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy:
- Order, payment and refund records: for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Your account: while it is open. You can ask us to close it and delete what is not covered by the rule above.
- Messages and claims: as long as it takes to deal with them, any follow-up, and any warranty the item still has.
- Email sign-ups: until you unsubscribe.
- Analytics: for the retention period set in the analytics service, after which it is deleted.
When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.
Keeping it secure
The Site runs over an encrypted connection, access to customer information is limited to the people and services who need it, and card numbers are handled by our payment processor rather than stored by us. No system is completely secure, though, and we cannot guarantee that information sent over the internet will never be intercepted.
If you think your account or an order has been misused, tell us straight away at info@speedwayridersnyc.com or (240) 916-2471. We will never ask you for your password or your full card number by email, phone or text.
Your rights
Wherever you live in the United States, you can ask us to:
- See what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy of it.
- Correct information that is wrong or out of date.
- Delete your information, except what we must keep by law or to finish something you asked for, such as an order or a claim.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your information and of targeted advertising.
- Stop marketing emails, at any time, with the unsubscribe link or by asking us.
Residents of some states have these rights by law, along with the right to know the categories of information we collect and share, which this policy sets out. We will not treat you differently, charge you more or give you a worse service for using any of these rights.

Checking it is you
To protect your information, we match a request with the details we already hold, usually the email address on your orders or account, and we may ask for one more detail, such as an order number. We will never ask for your full card number or your password.
Asking for someone else
An authorized agent can make a request for you with your signed permission. We may still ask you to confirm your identity with us directly.
If we say no
If we cannot do all or part of what you ask, we tell you why. You can appeal by replying to our answer with “Appeal” in the subject line; we look at it again and tell you the outcome in writing. If you are still not satisfied, you can contact your state’s attorney general.
Marketing emails
We send marketing emails only to people who have signed up for them. Every one has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing does not affect the emails about an order you have placed.
Text messages (SMS)
If you sign up for text messages, we collect your mobile number, the date and time you agreed, and the page where you signed up. We use them only to send the messages you asked for and to keep a record of your consent.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. The only exception is our text message provider, which sends the messages for us and may not use your information for anything else.

Children
The Site is for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Where your information is processed
We sell and deliver only in the United States, and the Site is not aimed at people outside it. Some of the services we use may process information in other countries, under their own safeguards.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when what we do changes. The date in the index shows when it last changed. If a change is significant, we will also say so elsewhere on the Site.
