The cookies speedwayridersnyc.com uses, what each one is for and how long it lasts, and how to switch analytics off or block cookies altogether.
Cookies, briefly
A small file a website saves in your browser so it can remember something between pages or visits, like what is in your cart.
Your cart, signing in, and protecting the site and checkout. The store does not work without these, so they cannot be switched off here.
Google Analytics and WordPress.com stats show us, in aggregate, how the site is used. Switch Google Analytics off on Your privacy choices.
The store notes how a visit reached us, such as a search engine or a link, and saves that with an order.
Stripe and Affirm set their own cookies to prevent fraud and to run their checkout and financing messages.
Your browser can block or delete cookies, and Global Privacy Control switches Google Analytics off. We do not use advertising pixels such as Meta or TikTok.

Cookie names with an asterisk end in a code that changes from visitor to visitor.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website saves in your browser. It lets the site remember something from one page to the next, or from one visit to the next: that you are signed in, what is in your cart, or that you switched analytics off. Cookies set by speedwayridersnyc.com are “first-party” cookies. Cookies set by another company’s service that runs on our pages, such as a payment provider, are “third-party” cookies and are governed by that company’s own policy.
Some cookies last only until you close your browser. Others stay for a set time, shown for each one below, or until you delete them.
Cookies the store needs
These make the cart, sign-in and checkout work and keep the site and payments safe. Without them the store does not work, so they are always on.

Where a visit came from
WooCommerce, the software that runs the store, notes how a visit reached us, such as a search engine, another website or an email link, and saves that with an order if you place one. It helps us understand which ways of finding us work. It does not follow you to other websites.

Analytics
These show us, in aggregate, how people find and use the site: which pages are read, which products are viewed, and where visits come from. We use what we learn to improve the site.

Our Google Analytics setup includes Google signals, which lets Google add information about people who are signed in to a Google account and have allowed ad personalisation. When it is on, Google may also use its own cookies on its own domains. Some state laws count this as “sharing” personal information.
To stop Google Analytics on your browser, use the switch on Your privacy choices, or use a browser that sends Global Privacy Control; either one turns it off, including Google signals. Google also offers its own browser add-on for opting out of Google Analytics. WordPress.com statistics are not affected by the switch; your browser settings can block them.
Payment, financing and spam protection
These are set by other companies whose services run on our pages. They are governed by those companies’ own cookie and privacy policies.

Other browser storage
Some services use your browser’s local storage instead of cookies. Affirm keeps its feature settings there (entries beginning with “statsig”), and our page cache keeps a note that stops a page reloading twice. Clearing your browser’s site data removes them along with cookies.
How to control cookies
- Google Analytics: use the switch on Your privacy choices. It applies to the browser you use it in.
- Global Privacy Control: if your browser or an extension sends it, Google Analytics stays off on that browser with nothing else to do.
- Your browser’s settings: every major browser lets you see, block and delete cookies, for all sites or just this one. Blocking the cookies the store needs will stop the cart, sign-in and checkout from working.
Browsers’ “Do Not Track” setting has no agreed meaning, so we do not respond to it. We do respond to Global Privacy Control.
Changes to this list
The cookies a site uses change when its tools change. We update this list when we add or remove a tool, and the date in the index shows when it last changed. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information more generally.
