Fifty to sixty mph is where most riders who want real performance end up. Here is the tier sorted by price band, and the details that separate one model from the next.
The short answer
A 50 mph electric scooter gives performance without the bulk of many hyper scooters. Our in-stock 50 to 60 mph models all use two motors on a 60V or 72V battery, all fold, and they weigh from 84 lb for the DriveTron DT06 to 123 lb for the Kaabo Warrior 11 Max. Within the tier, choose on weight, battery voltage, brakes, suspension and charging time, and on whether you want a seat. Every one is far faster than most local limits, so check your rules first.
This tier sits between the 40 mph performance models and the 65 mph and up hyper scooters. You get two motors, hydraulic brakes on most models and full suspension, at a weight one person can still roll into a garage. Step up to the hyper class and many models pass 130 lb.

The spread is almost 40 lb, and you feel every pound at a step or a car trunk. Every model in the tables folds.
Lighter is easier to live with, but the heavier models usually carry the bigger battery and the stronger chassis. The DT06 carries riders up to 265 lbs, while most of the heavier models list 330 lbs or more.
Most of this tier runs on 60V. Five models step up to 72V: the INMOTION RS Lite (72V 30Ah, 2,160 Wh), the INMOTION RS Midnight (72V 40Ah), the INMOTION RS JET (1800 Wh), the Segway GT3 Pro (72V 30Ah, 2,160 Wh) and the NANROBOT N6 (72V 33Ah Samsung).
Higher voltage lets the motors hold speed with less current, which helps on long climbs and late in the charge. It does not decide range on its own: battery capacity in watt hours does. Our guide to electric scooter battery voltage explains the trade off in full.
At 50 mph the chassis matters more than the motor. This is where the models differ most.
Tubed or tubeless changes how you fix a flat, as our guide to tubeless vs tubed electric scooter tires explains.
A few models in this tier take a seat. The Teewing X5 comes with one, along with a bag, lock, phone holder, pump and mirrors. The Teewing Z4 Pro comes without a seat, with a folding seat or with a comfortable seat and tailbox, at 118, 124.6 or 144.4 lbs. The NANROBOT N6 and Teewing X4 offer a seat as an option.

Batteries of 2,000 Wh and more take a while to fill, so look at the charger as well as the range.
Range figures in the tables are best cases at low speed. Held near 50 mph, any of these covers far less. Our guide to electric scooter real range shows how to estimate your own.
Some models in this tier ship tamed. INMOTION sets the RS Midnight to 20 mph out of the box. Whatever the scooter can do, the local limit applies to you.
Many states and cities cap electric scooters at 15 to 20 mph, and New York State defines an electric scooter as weighing under 100 lb with a top speed of 20 mph or less on the motor. Every model here is faster than that, so in many places it is legal only on private land.
This is general information, not legal advice. Check your state motor vehicle agency and your city website, and read electric scooter laws: what to check before you ride. At this speed, wear a full face helmet, gloves and armored gear on every ride.

The DriveTron DT06 is the lightest in this tier at 84 lb, with two 1500W motors and a 60V 23.4Ah battery. It carries riders up to 265 lbs.
Every in-stock model from 50 to 60 mph in our catalog does. Two motors share the load and grip better under hard acceleration.
In many places, no. It is far faster than the 15 to 20 mph limit many states and cities set, so it may be legal only on private land. Check your state and city rules.
Usually 6.5 to 12 hours on one charger. Models with two chargers or two ports, such as the INMOTION RS Lite and NANROBOT N6, roughly halve that.

Three wheels mean no balancing at a stop, a seat and room for shopping. They also mean a wider, heavier machine that corners differently. Here is how to decide.
