DriveTron makes five folding scooters, from a light city commuter to a 50 mph dual motor machine. Here is how the DT01, DT08, DT10, Nova and DT06 compare.
The short answer
A DriveTron electric scooter comes in two kinds: single motor commuters and dual motor performance models. The DT01 is the light one at 37 lb, with 17 mph and up to 25 miles. The DT08 steps up to 48V, 25 mph and up to 37 miles. The dual motor DT10 reaches 44 mph in its 52V build, the Nova adds hydraulic brakes, NFC start and turn signals at 46.8 mph, and the DT06 tops the line at 50 mph with an 11 inch tire. Every model folds and is rated IPX5.
All five DriveTron electric scooters fold, run on air-filled tubeless tires and carry an IPX5 water rating. They split into two groups.
Every model carries riders up to at least 265 lb. See the full range on the DriveTron brand page. If you are unsure whether you need one motor or two, read single vs dual motor electric scooter.
The DT01 is the DriveTron to carry. A 400W rear motor that peaks at 756W and a 36V 10.4Ah battery give it 17 mph and up to 25 miles. It weighs 37 lb.
It rolls on 10 inch tubeless tires with front suspension, stops with a front disc and electronic braking (EABS), and charges in 5 to 7 hours. DriveTron lists UL 2272 certification. It suits short commutes, a last mile ride from the train and riders who carry their scooter upstairs.
The DT08 keeps a single motor but moves to a bigger battery and full suspension. Its 500W motor peaks at 1100W, and the 48V 15.6Ah battery gives it 25 mph and up to 37 miles.
It has suspension front and rear, 10 inch tubeless tires, a front disc with EABS and an IPX5 rating. Against the DT01, it adds 8 mph, 12 more miles of range and rear suspension. If your commute is longer than 10 miles each way, the DT08 is the safer choice of the two.
The DT10 comes in two builds, and you pick by battery.
Both builds have suspension front and rear, 10 inch tubeless tires, front and rear disc brakes with EABS and an IPX5 rating, and DriveTron says the DT10 folds in about three seconds. Charging takes 7 to 10 hours. The DT10 is the most affordable way into dual motor speed in the DriveTron line, but it stops with mechanical discs rather than hydraulics.
The Nova is the best equipped DriveTron. Two 1400W motors (2800W total), each peaking at 2000W, and a 60V 23.4Ah battery give it 46.8 mph and about 37 to 50 miles per charge. DriveTron lists climbing up to 40 degrees.
Against the DT10’s 52V build, the Nova weighs the same 68 lb but adds hydraulic brakes, turn signals and NFC start. That makes it the one we would look at first for fast daily riding in traffic.
The DT06 tops the line. Two 1500W motors take it to 50 mph, and a 60V 23.4Ah battery covers up to 50 miles. It rides on 11 inch tubeless tires with suspension front and rear, stops with hydraulic discs front and rear plus EABS, and has a magnesium alloy frame. DriveTron lists dual 60V 2A chargers for it, and it weighs 84 lb.
The Nova and DT06 share the same battery and range rating. The DT06 has more motor power, a bigger tire and a higher top speed; the Nova is 16 lb lighter and adds turn signals and NFC start. Our guide to 50 mph electric scooters compares the DT06 with other scooters in that class.
DriveTron also makes two style packs for the DT06 in blue and green or orange and yellow.
| Model | Top speed (mph) | Range (miles) | Motor power (W) |

Maker figures, checked September 2026. Real range and speed depend on rider weight, terrain, temperature and riding mode.
Advertised range is a best case. Our guide to real electric scooter range shows how to estimate yours, and IP ratings explained covers what IPX5 means for wet roads.
The DT10, Nova and DT06 are far faster than many cities allow for electric scooters on public roads. Rules on speed, where you may ride and helmets vary by state and city, so check your state motor vehicle agency and your city website before you ride. Use the lower speed modes in traffic and wear a helmet every ride.
Brake, battery and controller work belongs with a qualified technician. Power off and follow the maker’s manual for routine checks, and see our warranty page for covered faults.

The DT06, at 50 mph on two 1500W motors. The Nova reaches 46.8 mph and the DT10’s 52V build reaches 44 mph.
The DT01, at 37 lb. It has a 400W motor, 17 mph and up to 25 miles, and DriveTron lists UL 2272 certification.
Both use a 60V 23.4Ah battery rated up to 50 miles. The DT06 is faster at 50 mph with 11 inch tires and weighs 84 lb. The Nova reaches 46.8 mph, weighs 68 lb and adds turn signals and NFC start.
Yes. Every DriveTron in our catalog folds, and DriveTron says the DT10 folds in about three seconds.
Every model is rated IPX5, which covers spray and rain from any direction, not submersion. Avoid deep puddles and dry the scooter after a wet ride.
