Electric scooter seat attachment: which seat kits fit which models

A seat kit turns a stand-up electric scooter into a ride you can sit on, but only the kit made for your model is a safe fit. Here are the maker seat kits we carry, what each one fits, and how to fit and ride with one.

The short answer

An electric scooter seat attachment, or seat kit, bolts to the deck or clamps to a seat post so you can ride sitting down. Only fit the kit the maker lists for your model: the Hiboy seat saddle fits the S2 family, KUKIRIN, Segway, iENYRID and Teewing each make kits for named models, and JOYOR sells the original seat for three of its scooters. Check the seat height range and the payload limit, fit it with the scooter powered off, and recheck every bolt before you ride.

  • Seat kits are model specific. Fit only the one the maker lists for your scooter.
  • Check the seat height range against your leg length and the payload limit against your weight.
  • Some kits add storage: the Segway seat kit has a 10L box and the Teewing ComfortCruiser a key lock tailbox.
  • Riding seated moves your weight back and changes your reach, so start slow in the lowest mode.

What a seat attachment is

A seat attachment is a post and saddle that mounts to a stand-up electric scooter. Most bolt to the deck through a bracket. Others clamp onto a seat post the scooter already has. Either way, the scooter stays the same underneath: same motor, same battery, same brakes.

This guide is about adding a seat to a scooter you own or plan to buy. If you are still choosing between a seated model and a stand-up one, start with our guide to the electric scooter with seat, which covers who seated scooters suit and the models with a seat in the box.

Maker seat kits we carry, and what they fit

Every kit below is made by the scooter’s own maker for named models. Pick the option that matches your scooter on the product page.

  • Hiboy seat saddle: fits the Hiboy S2, S2 Pro, S2 SE, S2 Nova, KS4, KS4 Pro and MAX Pro. A retractable aluminum post adjusts the seat from 20.9 to 30.7 inches, with a leather cushion.
  • Hiboy S2 MAX seat saddle: the same 20.9 to 30.7 inch adjustable design, made for the S2 MAX.
  • Segway seat kit with storage: fits the Segway E3 Pro, F3 and ZT3 Pro. It adds a padded seat and a 10L storage box on a C-shaped twin tube frame, weighs 9.5 lbs and carries up to 265 lbs.
  • KUKIRIN seat kit: one version for the G2 Max and G2 Master, another for the G4 and G2.
  • iENYRID S3 adjustable seat kit: made only for the iENYRID S3.
  • iENYRID ES1 adjustable seat kit: seat and post for the ES1 and S1, with an adjustable height for riders of different sizes.
  • iENYRID M4 seat kit: two different versions, one for the M4 and one for the M4 Pro S+/Max.
  • Teewing foldable seat: one option for the X4 and X5, another for the X3.
  • Teewing ComfortCruiser seat: a seat with a key lock tailbox, in a Mars Seat option for the Mars series and a Z4 Pro Seat option.
  • JOYOR original seats: the S5-Z seat, S10-S-Z seat and T10 seat are the factory saddle and mount for each model, clamping onto the seat post. They suit riding seated or replacing a worn seat.

Several scooters also come in a With Seat version at checkout, so you can order the seat already matched. NANROBOT offers it on models such as the D4+MAX and N6 72V, and KUKIRIN on the G2, G4 and G2 Master.

One seat attachment we carry is not for scooters. The Hiboy HC-01 is a go-kart frame for 6.5 to 10 inch hoverboards, rated for riders up to 270 lbs. It will not fit an electric scooter.

Electric scooters that take a maker seat kit

These stand-up models have a seat kit from their own maker in our catalog. Check the product page of the kit for the exact version.

Maker figures, checked September 2026. Real range and speed depend on rider weight, terrain, temperature and riding mode.

What to check before you order a seat kit

  • Your exact model and version. Kits for the same brand differ: KUKIRIN, iENYRID, Teewing and JOYOR each split their kits by model.
  • Seat height. Sitting with your feet on the deck, your knees should not hit the stem, and you should reach the bar with a slight bend at the elbow. Hiboy lists a range of 20.9 to 30.7 inches for its saddles.
  • Payload. The seat has its own limit, and the scooter has a max load. The Segway kit carries up to 265 lbs, and the E3 Pro, F3 and ZT3 Pro are each listed with a 265 lb max load. Our weight limit guide explains why staying under it matters.
  • Weight and folding. The Segway kit adds 9.5 lbs. Teewing lists its X3, X4 and X5 seat as foldable. For other kits, check whether the scooter still folds with the seat on, or plan to remove it.
  • Storage. The Segway kit’s 10L box and the Teewing ComfortCruiser’s key lock tailbox give you somewhere to keep a lock or a charger.

Skip universal seats. A seat loads the deck and stem in a specific way. A kit made for another model, or a generic clamp-on seat, may not suit the frame or its limits, and can affect a warranty claim. See our warranty page.

Fitting a seat kit

Power the scooter off and follow the maker’s instructions for your kit. Most kits are simple bolt-on jobs, but the details differ by model.

  • Lay out every part and bolt before you start, and use the tools the instructions name.
  • Tighten each bolt firmly and evenly. Do not force a bracket that does not line up; that usually means the wrong version.
  • Set the seat height, then lock the post clamp and check that the seat does not twist or slide.
  • Check that the seat does not touch the stem, the brake lines or any cable when you steer from lock to lock.
  • After your first ride, and then regularly, recheck every bolt. Our maintenance checklist has a monthly bolt check you can add the seat to.

If anything near the wiring or battery has to be moved to fit the kit, stop and ask a qualified technician or contact us first.

Riding seated

Sitting changes how the scooter handles. Your weight moves back and down, your arms reach further, and you cannot absorb bumps with your knees the way you do standing.

  • Start in the lowest speed mode until braking and turning feel natural from the seat.
  • Keep both feet on the deck and both hands on the bar.
  • Slow down for potholes, curbs and rail tracks, and stand up if you need to ride over something rough.
  • Brake earlier than you would standing, since you cannot shift your weight back as easily.

Some places define an electric scooter partly by whether it has a seat, so a seat can change how a scooter is classed. Check your state and city rules before you ride; our guide to electric scooter laws lists the questions to ask. This is general information, not legal advice.

Which seat attachment to choose

  • Hiboy S2 family or MAX Pro: the Hiboy seat saddle, or the S2 MAX seat saddle for the S2 MAX.
  • Segway E3 Pro, F3 or ZT3 Pro: the Segway seat kit, with its 10L box.
  • KUKIRIN G2, G4, G2 Max or G2 Master: the KUKIRIN seat kit in the matching version.

  • Teewing X3, X4, X5, Mars series or Z4 Pro: the Teewing foldable seat or the ComfortCruiser seat.

Questions riders ask

Can you put a seat on any electric scooter?

No. Only fit a seat kit the maker lists for your model. A kit made for another scooter may not suit the deck, the stem or the weight limits.

How high does an electric scooter seat attachment go?

It depends on the kit. Hiboy lists 20.9 to 30.7 inches for its S2 family and S2 MAX saddles. The iENYRID ES1 kit is height adjustable too. Check the kit’s product page for your model.

Does a seat kit add weight?

Yes. The Segway seat kit, for example, weighs 9.5 lbs. Check whether your scooter still folds with the seat fitted before you count on carrying it.

Which Segway scooters take the Segway seat kit?

The Segway E3 Pro, F3 and ZT3 Pro. The kit adds a padded seat and a 10L storage box and carries up to 265 lbs.

Is it hard to fit a seat kit?

Most are bolt-on jobs. Power the scooter off, follow the maker’s instructions, tighten every bolt and recheck them after your first ride.
