The WEPED Dark Sonic X electric scooter is made in Korea and built to order. It takes the Sonic X platform, finishes it in black and sets it on big 16-inch tubeless tires. As a result, it rolls over rough ground with ease, while dual hub motors carry it to about 80 mph.

The WEPED Dark Sonic X after dark

16-inch tubeless tires
The Dark Sonic X rides on 16-inch tubeless tires, bigger than the 13-inch Sonic X. Therefore, it rolls over curbs, gravel and broken pavement more easily.
Samsung cells, 84V
The 84V, 50Ah pack uses Samsung SDI 21700 50E cells. Consequently, you get about 62 miles of range on a charge.
WEPED Dark Sonic X top speed
The top speed is about 80 mph. However, WEPED sets a safe-speed limit of about 75 mph for everyday riding.
Dual BLDC hub motors
Two hub motors share the work. Also, they keep strong pull in reserve for hills and passing.
Hydraulic 4-piston brakes
At the front, dual 4-piston calipers grip the disc, whereas a 4-piston caliper grips the rear. On top of that, an electronic brake adds extra stopping power.
Oil shocks, front and rear
A single oil shock sits up front, while dual oil shocks hold the rear. Together with the big tires, they keep the ride calm.
A frame cut from POSCO 6061 aluminum
Like every WEPED, the frame is machined from POSCO 6061 aluminum rather than cast. As a result, it is smooth, stiff and made to last.
