Most models here use a single motor rated from about 350 to 500 watts, with peaks of up to about 1,000 watts: plenty for flat to rolling routes. Most batteries fall between 36V 7.8Ah, about 280 Wh, and 48V 14.5Ah, about 700 Wh. Disc brakes front and rear and front suspension are the norm; full suspension, hydraulic brakes and torque sensors are the exceptions.
Folding models such as the Gyroor C33, Hiboy C1, Phantom P14 and NANROBOT N1 ride on 14- to 20-inch wheels and fit car trunks, trains and small apartments. The Gyroor EB262 and EB263 are 26-inch electric mountain bikes with off-road tires and a suspension fork. The battery is the biggest saving, so check watt hours (volts multiplied by amp hours) against your trip. Cadence sensors are more common than torque sensors, and the folding and mountain models here weigh from 46.3 to 54.9 lb. Many budget e-bikes arrive partly assembled: Gyroor ships the EB262 and EB263 85% assembled, so plan time to set up and check the bike.
Rated range assumes pedal assist and a light rider. Throttle-only riding cuts it hard: Hiboy lists 75 miles with pedal assist for the EX6 but 41 miles on the throttle alone. On a small battery, pedal more and use a lower assist level. A removable battery, as on the Gyroor EB262 and EB263 and the Hiboy C1, lets you charge indoors.

Most models here are rated for about 20 to 75 miles with pedal assist. Expect less on the throttle alone, with a heavier rider, on hills or in the cold.
