The Riding'times GT54 and GT54 Pro share one compact frame. The Pro adds a 60V battery and a stronger motor, and each comes as a 15 mph Safety Edition too.
The short answer
In GT54 vs GT54 Pro, the frame, wheels and fit are the same, and the power is not. The GT54 has a 48V 27Ah battery, a 2,000 W peak motor and a 40 mph top speed, in the $500 to $1,000 band. The GT54 Pro moves to a 60V 25Ah battery, a 3,000 W peak motor and 50 mph (measured without a rider), in the $1,000 to $1,500 band. Both are rated for about 60 to 62 miles. Each also comes as a Safety Edition, factory-limited to 750 W and 15 mph, in the same price band as its standard bike. All four are for off-road use only.
Riding’times builds the GT54 as a mini and pit size electric dirt bike, and sells it for teenagers and adults. It comes in two power levels, and each power level has a Safety Edition.

Maker figures, checked September 2026. Real range and speed depend on rider weight, terrain, temperature and riding mode.
Range ratings come from gentle riding. Trail riding, climbs, soft ground and cold weather all use more energy, as our guide to electric dirt bike range explains.
The 60V system is the main difference. It is what lifts the Pro’s top gear by 10 mph and its peak power by 1,000 W. The first gear on both is close to 15 mph, so a newer rider can start at the same calm pace on either bike and step up later.
A 40 or 50 mph mini bike is fast. Wear a full face helmet, goggles, gloves, boots and body armor, and ride on private land with permission or at a riding park. Our guide to electric dirt bike safety gear lists what to wear.
The Pro is the lighter bike, by 4 lb, and the only one with adjustable suspension. That makes it easier to set up for a heavier or lighter rider. Our sibling guide on electric dirt bike suspension sag explains how riders set it.
Everything else is shared: 60/100-14 front and 60/100-12 rear knobby tires, hydraulic disc brakes front and rear with an e-brake that cuts motor power, an LED headlight, a taillight with turn signals, a horn and a screen that shows speed, battery, gear and trip data. Both measure 59.8 x 26.4 x 39.8 in.
All four GT54 bikes have a 27.2 in seat, a listed rider height of 4 ft 2 in to 5 ft 9 in and a 220 lb maximum load. That covers most teens and many smaller adults. Riders taller than 5 ft 9 in, or heavier than 220 lb, should look at the full size GT73 instead.
Fit depends on more than height: age, experience and confidence matter too. Our guide to electric dirt bike sizes shows how to check seat height against inseam, and our sibling guide to electric dirt bikes for teens covers choosing a first bike for a younger rider. For the youngest riders, see kids electric dirt bikes.
Each Safety Edition is factory-limited to 750 W and 15 mph, and uses a geared rear hub motor. The rest of the bike stays the same as its standard version.
They suit newer riders and parents who want a calmer bike with full size brakes and suspension. Riding’times notes that fit still depends on the rider’s age, size, experience and local rules. A factory limit does not change how your state classes a bike, so check the rules where you plan to ride.
Every GT54 is for off-road use only. The lights, turn signals and horn help on a trail, but they do not make the bike road legal. Ride on private land with the owner’s permission, at riding parks and tracks, and on trails open to off-road motorcycles. Our guide to where to ride electric dirt bikes covers the options, and street legal electric dirt bikes explains what a road legal bike needs.

The GT54 Pro moves from a 48V 27Ah battery to a 60V 25Ah battery, from a 2,000 W to a 3,000 W peak motor, and from 40 mph to 50 mph (measured without a rider). It also gets an adjustable hydraulic fork and weighs 102.5 lb against 106.5 lb. The frame, wheels, seat height and rider range are the same.
The GT54 Pro and the GT54 Pro Safety Edition sit in the $1,000 to $1,500 band. The GT54 and GT54 Safety Edition sit in the $500 to $1,000 band. Check the product page for today’s price.
Riding’times lists 40 mph for the GT54 and 50 mph for the GT54 Pro, measured without a rider. Both Safety Editions are limited to 15 mph. All of them are for off-road use only.
Riding’times rates the GT54 for up to 60 to 62 miles and the GT54 Pro for up to 62 miles. Real trail range is lower, especially on climbs and soft ground.
