Disc brakes, both ends
On a 34 mph dirt bike on loose ground, braking at both ends is the minimum. As a result, the MX35 has a disc front and rear.
Steel frame
Steel is heavier than alloy. However, it takes drops far better, which matters most on a first dirt bike.

A taller 14 in front steers over rough ground, and a smaller 12 in rear adds traction.

This is an adult electric dirt bike. It has a throttle, no pedals and a motorcycle layout, so in most places it is not allowed on public roads, sidewalks or shared paths. Instead, it belongs on private land and on parks or trails where the owner allows it.
Rules differ between states, towns and single trails, and they change, so check the rules where you plan to ride before you buy.
Protective gear is not optional at 34 mph. Wear a helmet every time, plus gloves, boots and body armor for anything technical.

Why is the MX40 faster and cheaper than the MX37?
Because they spend their money differently. The MX37 puts it into dual suspension and four-piston hydraulic brakes, while the MX40 puts it into motor and battery.
