Look inside
Inside the Wilson’s Mosquito.
The Wilson’s Mosquito electric scooter weighs 29 lb, folds in seconds and reaches 20 mph, with a 500 W motor and a 461 Wh battery laid flat in the deck. Tap a part to see it on the scooter.

700 W at peak, sealed inside the rear wheel. It pulls from a standstill and up the hills that make a commute a commute.
Inside the hub, next to the regen braking. As a result, it stays sealed from the weather.
461 Wh of cells laid flat in the deck, where the weight belongs.
Under the deck, ahead of the folding latch, so it stays dry and out of the way.
Between the swingarm and the deck, so the rear stays calm too.
On the fork, above the front wheel, so bumps never reach the bars.
One lever, so folding takes seconds and no tools.
Speed, gear, trip, battery and settings, all in one place.
In addition, cruise control and zero-start are set here.

Twenty-nine pounds
Light enough to carry far.
Take it one-handed up the stairs, through a turnstile or into the trunk. The handle sits at the balance point, so the folded scooter hangs level instead of swinging into your leg. That matters, for example, when you carry it up three flights.
Stop, roll, absorb
You feel it in the first block.

Three ways to stop
Regenerative braking from the motor comes first and puts a little charge back. Then there is a sealed drum brake in the rear hub, and a step-on brake over the rear fender.

Springs, front and rear
A coil on the fork and one under the deck take the joints, drains and patched asphalt of a city ride.

Solid tires
No punctures, ever. Because there is nothing to pump, patch or check, the scooter is ready every morning.

Questions
About the Wilson’s Mosquito.
How far does the Mosquito really go?
22 miles in testing, with a 165 lb rider at a steady 15 mph. With stops, hills and faster gears it is closer to 19. Both numbers are published because the second is the one you ride.
How fast is it?
20 mph in top gear. It reaches 15 mph in 5.1 seconds and 20 mph in 8.1. Five gears let you cap it lower any time.
Can I really carry it?
Yes. It weighs 29 lb, and the carrying handle sits at the balance point. As a result, most riders carry it one-handed up a flight of stairs.
How small does it fold?
41.5 by 5.65 by 13 inches, in seconds and without tools. It fits under a desk, in a car trunk or beside you on a train.
Why solid tires instead of air?
Solid tires cannot puncture, so the scooter is ready every morning. Meanwhile, the springs at both ends handle the comfort.
How does it stop?
In three ways: first regenerative braking, then a rear drum brake, and finally a step-on brake over the rear fender.
What can I set on the display?
A speed cap per gear, cruise control and zero-start.
